Founder, Chief of StaffDr. Chris Horstman is the owner and Chief of Staff for the Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center. Dr. Horstman was born in Creighton, Nebraska (northeastern Nebraska). His love for animals began at an early age; during visits to his family’s farms. Time spent working with his cousins, aunts, and uncles with the cattle, pigs, and sheep helped solidify his desire to pursue veterinary education. He graduated high school from Cozad, Nebraska before heading to Doane College in Crete, Nebraska. While at Doane, he worked closely with the faculty to add classes which were required as prerequisites for veterinary school.Staff SurgeonDr. Geof Zann was raised in South Florida and attended Yale University, where he was a 4-year varsity athlete in swimming and was team captain in his senior year. After the military, Dr. Zann attended veterinary school at the University of Florida and graduated with honors. He then completed a small animal rotating internship and surgical residency at The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center, which boasts one of the highest orthopedic caseloads of any hospital in the world.Veterinary Orthopedic SurgeonDr. David Mason is a board-certified veterinary surgeon with over two decades of experience in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, and minimally invasive techniques.
